Newborn photography is a gentle celebration of life’s most delicate and fleeting moments. Those tiny hands, soft sighs, and peaceful expressions tell a story that words can never fully capture. My newborn sessions are thoughtfully crafted to reflect the warmth, purity, and quiet magic of the first days.

CAPTURING THe First FLEETING MOMENTS
THE NEWBORN EXPERIENCE
Ideally, newborn sessions should take place in the first 6-10 days of life to capture the fresh newborn look, with day 6 being the optimal time for curly poses. In these first few days the baby stays in deep, peaceful sleep for longer so they can be moved easily between a variety of poses.
Also, they are less likely to have developed newborn baby acne or colic. I can do newborn sessions beyond this time frame, but I cannot guarantee the sleepy, curly poses that are so precious.
When is the best time to photograph my newborn?
For newborn sessions, I would ask that you have a long-sleeve black top and pants available to change into, if you would like to be included in a few of the photos with your baby. The majority of the session will focus on the baby, but it’s nice to have some photos with the family as well.
No special wardrobe is necessary for the newborn. The baby should be undressed, swaddled, and fitted with a loose diaper in order to minimize diaper imprints on the baby’s skin.
WHAT to WEAR?
I am an on-location photographer, so I come to your home to conduct the session. I find that this arrangement provides the most comfortable and relaxed environment for everybody.
Although I can conduct an entire session with backdrops and props, I am also happy to use the natural surroundings of your home, garden, or a location of your choice.
Where will you photograph
my newborn?
The best time to schedule a newborn session is while you are still pregnant. If you are expecting to have a c-section or induction, a specific session date can be set in advance.
Otherwise, I will make note of your due date and get an idea of the approximate time period when the baby will be born. Then once you give birth you or a family member can contact me to arrange the session.
WHEN SHOULD I BOOK YOU?
Because I deliver galleries quickly, I do not offer sneak peeks. I promise, the (very short) wait will be worth it!
Will I get any sneak peeks?
I deliver galleries within 2 weeks!
What is your turnaround time?
Yes! All of my newborn sessions include the full gallery of digital images.
Are all digital images included?
Full portrait sessions are 30-60 minutes and include
a digital gallery of your high-resolution images.
